About this event

HOLY COLD 🥶🙏

Winter prayers outside.

8:30 AM · Redstone Park 3280 Redstone Park Cir, Littleton, CO 80129

Select Sunday mornings this winter

It’s cold. It’s early. It might be holy.

Once a month this winter, we’ll bundle up and gather outside for about 30 minutes of simple prayer and sacred connection as the morning begins. We’ll breathe. Read something sacred. Notice the world around us. Wonder together. Pray.

That’s it.

No building. No production. No preparation required. Just winter, prayer, and each other.

Dress warmly. Bring coffee or something hot if you’d like. We’ll meet at 8:30 and be finished around 9:00.

HOW TO FIND US: Look for us near one of the pavilions near the lake and the playground. Close to the big parking lot. Look for a BETWEEN sign or some BETWEEN bandanas or some BETWEEN swag.

A Typical HOLY COLD Morning

We keep it simple. About 30-45 minutes, start to finish.

8:30 — Greet & Gather Bundle up, say hello, settle in, notice the morning and the people around us.

8:35 — Opening Prayer A few moments to breathe, arrive, and become present to ourselves, one another, and the sacred.

8:40 — Sacred Wisdom A short reading from Scripture, poetry, another faith tradition, or some other source of wisdom worth wondering about.

8:45 — A Short Reflection & Conversation A brief message connecting the reading to sacred human connection, followed by a question or two for the group. Sharing is always invited, never required.

9:10 — Prayers of the People Space to name what's on our hearts—for ourselves, people we love, our neighbors, and the world.

9:15 — Closing Prayer & Go Get Warm A simple blessing for whatever comes next.

That's it. Cold air. Sacred wisdom. Good people. Holy Togetherness.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Do I need to be religious? Nope. BETWEEN is rooted in an extra loving, wildly inclusive, progressive expression of the Christian tradition, but HOLY COLD is for people of any faith, uncertain faith, changing faith, or no particular faith at all. We’ll sometimes read from the Bible and sometimes encounter wisdom from other sacred traditions, poets, writers, and teachers. Bring your beliefs, your questions, your doubts, and your curiosity. Nobody will ask you to pretend certainty you don’t have. And we are NOT trying to convince you to believe what we believe. Read more about BETWEEN's beliefs here .

• What should I bring? Mostly, warm clothes. Dress for the weather—hat, gloves, layers, boots if there’s snow. Bring coffee, tea, or another warm drink if you’d like. Nothing else is required.

• What if the weather is really bad? Cold is part of HOLY COLD. Dangerous weather isn’t. We’ll gather in ordinary Colorado winter conditions, including some snow, but cancel if roads or conditions make gathering unsafe. Any cancellation will be posted through Meetup.

• What if I don’t want to talk or pray out loud? That’s completely fine. Everything is invitation, not obligation. You’re welcome to join the conversation, offer a prayer, or simply stand with us, listen, breathe some cold air, and be present. Showing up is participation.
