About this event
The Little Wellness Retreats combine mindfulness, creativity, and community into a week your child will never forget.
Through intentional art-making, gentle movement, and meaningful group experiences, kids build confidence, emotional awareness, and a deeper connection to themselves, all in a supportive, inspiring environment. If you’re looking for something truly special for your kiddo, something creative, magical, and completely different from anything else out there, this is it! This is where kids get to be free, express themselves, and feel seen.
Each week includes:
A theme that helps each child connect inward
Painting on the walls!
Discussion that leads to self-awareness + feeling identification practices
Mindful movement + breathing
Storytelling
Healthy snacks + mindful eating
Journaling, zine-making + art surprises
Fun + collaborative group games designed to build cooperation + camaraderie
Camp isn't all indoors! We will take walks to Green on 38th to get outside, move our bodies, and soak up some vitamin D
The just-right balance of chill, creative, and active is built into every week
Art show to close out the week-long camps
AGES:
Best suited for middle childhood, children ages 5-12 (if you have a younger or older one that you feel would be a great fit for this, please reach out)
We intentionally keep groups mixed-age to mirror a true community. Younger and older kids learn from one another, grow social-emotional skills, and build confidence throughout the week. Twelve-year-olds naturally step into leadership while five-year-olds shine with support from new friends. This is not forced, but guided.
Middle childhood, is a powerful window for building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and empathy. In early childhood, tools like mindfulness, movement, and creative expression are about exposure. Kids experience them through play and co-regulation. In middle childhood, they are ready for more. As the brain regions responsible for reflection, impulse control, and perspective-taking develop, children can begin to notice these tools, name what they are experiencing, and use them with intention.
This work is not too early. It is right on time.
