Girls on the Run

About this event

This year’s Girls on the Run 5K at Empower Field at Mile High comes with a chance to make art together. On Sunday, November 15, The Walls Project is hosting a community mural activation, and every runner, family member, coach and supporter is invited to help paint it. Lead artist Sofia Ramirez is designing a mural that celebrates the confidence, joy and strength at the heart of Girls on the Run. Her design is laid out as a simple paint-by-color guide, so anyone can pick up a brush and add to it, from first-time painters to seasoned artists.

You can find us under the Sprouts and The Walls Project tents in Lot G. Stop by before or after your 5K, add your brushstrokes and see the mural grow over the morning. The mural is painted on polytab, a durable fabric made for murals. After the event, it will be installed permanently at a community location, so everyone who takes part leaves a lasting mark on Denver. Come paint with us and be part of something bigger together!
