Child/Teen STEP Team (Ages 10-18)

Make music with your feet and move with purpose! Child/Teen STEP Team introduces dancers to the exciting art of stepping—a dynamic percussive dance form that combines rhythm, teamwork, precision, and creative expression through the use of the body as an instrument. Students will learn foundational stepping techniques, rhythmic patterns, body percussion, formations, and choreography while developing coordination, musicality, strength, endurance, and performance skills. Classes emphasize teamwork, discipline, leadership, and confidence, encouraging dancers to work together while celebrating creativity and community. Throughout the season, dancers will build a repertoire of step routines and may have opportunities to perform at academy showcases, community events, and special performances. No previous step experience is required. Just bring comfortable athletic clothing, supportive sneakers, and plenty of energy!
