Debra Weinstein is JEWISHcolorado’s 2027 Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award recipient, recognized for decades of extraordinary leadership, philanthropy, and dedication to Jewish life. A longtime Lion of Judah and LOJE, Debra has served on the JEWISHcolorado Board of Directors and held numerous leadership roles, including Annual Campaign Chair, Chair of Women’s Philanthropy, CHOICES Co-Chair, Super Sunday Co-Chair, and Denver Community Co-Chair for the JFNA General Assembly. She also co-chaired the launch luncheon for the Jewish Community Foundation and has shared her leadership with organizations throughout the community, including Temple Emanuel, Rose Women’s Foundation, Jewish Family Service, Denver Jewish Day School, ADL Mountain States, JNF Mountain States, and BBYO, where she served as International President. Debra’s commitment has been recognized with JEWISHcolorado’s Volunteer of the Year Award and the 2011 Golda Meir Award. Beyond the many roles she has held and the funds she has helped raise, Debra’s greatest impact is the way she builds relationships, welcomes others, and inspires people to become more deeply involved in Jewish life. Whether proudly wearing her Lion of Judah pin or personally encouraging others to show up and give more, she leads with warmth, generosity, and heart.

Shayna Kreisler is Vice President of Lay Leadership Development for the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), where she shapes strategy, coaches senior professionals, and creates practical frameworks that strengthen leadership and collaboration. Grounded in her belief that developing the next generation of leaders is essential to building a Jewish future that is broad in reach, Shayna empowers people to lead with purpose, apply their strengths to a shared vision, and create meaningful collective impact. A Schusterman Fellow, Shayna’s career also includes leadership roles with the 14th Street Y in NY, BBYO and work in arts and education design.
