This high-energy class introduces the fundamentals of twerk dance—a fun, empowering style rooted in African and Afro-Caribbean dance traditions. Designed for beginners, the class focuses on building confidence, body awareness, rhythm, and technique in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Students will learn foundational twerk movements including isolations, hip rolls, pops, drops, and shakes, while exploring how to safely and effectively engage core and lower body muscles. Classes include a warm-up, technique drills, and short choreography set to upbeat music. No dance experience required. All body types, genders, and backgrounds welcome!
