About this event

The Walls Project is hosting a volunteer build day for the Sprouts Annual Day of Service. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ponderosa Elementary School in Aurora, CO.

Volunteers will build three little seed libraries, one for each of our three elementary school garden sites in Aurora. Each library will be a free, open-access spot where students, families, and neighbors can pick up seeds, take home fresh food grown in the school gardens, and find other helpful resources.

Our goal is to make the gardens’ harvest reach further into the community and to make growing food at home easier for everyone. The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is sponsoring the event, and Lowe’s donated all of the wood for the build. We’re inviting volunteers of all experience levels to help measure, assemble, paint, and finish the libraries before they go to their new homes.

Whether you know your way around a power drill or just want to lend a hand, come spend the day with us building something that will feed and connect Aurora families for years to come.
