On-Ice Format:
• 30 min. technical skating and skills
• 30 min. progression drills
• 30 min. controlled scrimmage
Instruction focused on:
• Body Mechanics - skating, passing, shooting and protecting the puck
• Scoring goals - Quick release, deception and making the right decisions
• Hockey IQ: mental aspects of the game including scanning the ice
• Drills - Combining skating, passing and puck handling skills into dynamic "progression" drills applicable to game situations
• Games - small area game situations, players divided by skill level
