Make & Decorate Your Own Ceramic Ornament — Hands-On Holiday Workshop

About this event

Come make something a little strange and entirely your own — a hand-built ceramic ornament, shaped and glazed by you, ready to give (or keep) by the holidays. In this 3-hour hands-on session, you'll shape your ornament, add texture and accents, and glaze it in whatever colors feel right — no experience needed. Once it's fired (twice!), we'll text or email you when it's ready to pick up at the Denver Art Society on Santa Fe Drive — just in time to hand it to someone you love. All ages welcome — kids encouraged to join!

What You'll Learn

• Hand-building and shaping a small ceramic form

• Adding texture and personal accents

• Applying and layering glaze for color and depth

• Prepping and finishing work for firing

How It Works

• Class day (3 hours) — Shape, texture, and glaze your ornament however you like.

• First firing — Into the kiln it goes.

• Second firing — A final round in the kiln to finish it off.

• Ready mid-December — Pick up your finished ornament at the Denver Art Society, just in time for the holidays.
