About this event
Adapted by Richard Hellesen from the novel by Charles Dickens, with original music and lyrics by David de Berry, A Christmas Carol has become a longstanding holiday tradition in Denver, returning each season as a centerpiece of the Theatre Company’s programming.
Essential to the holiday season in Denver, A Christmas Carol is a joyous and opulent musical adaptation for the whole family that traces money hoarding curmudgeon Ebenezer Scrooge’s triumphant overnight journey to redemption. Based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel, the Denver Center Theatre Company’s production illuminates the meaning of the holiday season in a way that has resonated for generations.
A Christmas Carol is a classic, family friendly play with music locally produced by Denver Center Theatre Company and presented by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The production runs November 25–December 27, 2026, at the Wolf Theatre in downtown’s Arts Complex.
