About this event
Movie Info
Before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, a teenage Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada, East of Eden) had his own date with destiny in Panem's deadliest televised sporting event. This prequel to THE HUNGER GAMES sends Haymitch into the 50th annual Games, aka the Second Quarter Quell, where twice the tributes means twice the bloodshed. With President Snow (Ralph Fiennes) calling the shots, Haymitch joins forces with fellow tributes to fight back. Turns out humanity just can't get enough of sadistic game shows, and we have to admit, they look great on the big screen.

Book Club Dress Up Screening Info
Dress up for the Capitol and claim your tribute token
The odds of winning Best Dressed are in your hands. Join fellow Suzanne Collins fans for a Book Club Dress Up Screening, complete with a live host and a pre-movie costume contest with a special prize. All guests receive a collectible passport and a SUNRISE ON THE REAPING sticker to track all the literary-to-film adaptations you've completed, plus an enamel flint striker pin inspired by Lenore Dove's gift to Haymitch. Capitol finery and scrappy Tribute threads encouraged. Join us in the bar after the film to connect with local bookstores, libraries, and other book lovers. Keep reading and keep watching!
