About this event

Join local award-winning horticulturist and author, Lauren Springer, and visionary native landscaper, Bryan Fischer, for an inspiring exploration of native plants for beautiful, resilient Rocky Mountain gardens. As our world becomes increasingly removed from nature, many of us seek inspiration in our region's native landscapes. Lauren and Bryan explore three local plant communities-high desert, chaparral/shrub steppe, and meadow/prairie-and show how they can inspire sustainable, distinctive and beautiful home landscapes. Learn practical design concepts and discover native plants to consider for your garden. "The Rocky Mountain Native Plant Primer: 225 Plants for an Earth-Friendly Garden," will be available for purchase at the lecture. Join us for a book signing reception after the talk.
