- ➤ Colorado homeowners' insurance rates have soared as premiums rose 65% over five years due to escalating hail damage and wildfire risks. Gov. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) will present a 106-page wolverine reintroduction plan today to restore the species to high-alpine areas. The plan, approved by the legislature in 2024, details using helicopters or other transport and preparing carcasses (such as roadkill) to support the animals until they establish a stable habitat. - ➤ Thornton residents attended a town hall meeting Wednesday night to debate Flock cameras — weighing safety benefits against privacy concerns. Officials will review current camera usage on Feb. 3 when police present more details. Denver7

- ➤ Today, many Coloradans faced higher health insurance premiums through the state marketplace after federal subsidies ended; a new state assistance program helped some lower costs (for example, one resident saved $80 monthly) while others resorted to loans to cover expenses. Colorado Public Radio
