- ➤ Vail Resorts reported a 20% drop in skier and snowboarder visits at its resorts compared to last season due to one of the worst early season snows in over 30 years. The low snowfall limited terrain opening and hurt ski school and food vendor revenue, the company said on Thursday. Denver7

- ➤ Future Cowboy, an environmentally focused fashion show at the National Western Stock Show, is set for Jan. 25. - ➤ State lawmakers have proposed a ballot measure to raise the TABOR cap by roughly $4.5 billion to boost funding for K-12 schools. The measure—backed by education groups—is slated for a legislative vote before it potentially appears on the November ballot. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ RTD officials have prepared contingency plans for downtown service disruptions as demonstrators gather at the Capitol from noon to 3 p.m. amid the Bills vs. Broncos playoff rematch at Empower Field and other events today. Denver7
