- ➤ Cherry Creek School District superintendent Christopher Smith resigned Wednesday after an investigation linked a toxic workplace culture to a conflict of interest with his wife serving as chief human resource officer; deputy superintendent Jennifer Perry will serve as interim leader until a permanent replacement is chosen. - ➤ Community members, business owners and city leaders voiced frustrations during an online feedback session on Wednesday over Xcel Energy’s power shutoffs that disrupted daily operations. The Public Utilities Commission will use the comments to set new safety rules by year’s end. Denver7
- ➤ Boulder leaders held a virtual meeting Thursday to answer questions about December windstorm power shutoffs that left many without electricity. They said grid upgrades will take years & public testimony is set for Friday at 1 p.m. at the state capitol. Denver7

- ➤ Olympic gold medalist Fitzgerald Mosley will take charge as CEO of the U.S. Center for SafeSport on Sunday in Denver, planning to review agency operations and gather input to reform its handling of abuse reports. She aims to improve athlete safety with prompt, effective changes. Colorado Public Radio
