- ➤ UMS festival will begin a new chapter in RiNo Arts District from July 24-26 (its 26th year) as the RiNo Business Improvement District Board finalizes a 50% stake with local partner Two Parts while Youth on Record steps aside. Denver7
- ➤ Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop James Golka, who has led Colorado Springs since 2021, as the next Archbishop of Denver; his Vespers is scheduled on March 24 and Installation on March 25 in Denver — replacing retiring Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila. Colorado Public Radio

- ➤ The CSU Board of Governors named longtime educator Rico Munn as the sole finalist for chancellor through an internal search and he will start a 14-day waiting period before his appointment is confirmed. Munn, based in Denver (amid faculty concerns over the process), is seen as key for continuing strong government relations. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ A new state bill will expand bilingual graduation endorsements to help more students prove their fluency in English and another language. It passed the House Education Committee Thursday and will be reviewed next, with projected costs ($36,000 first year and $25,000 annually) for schools partnering with colleges or approved nonprofits. - ➤ Denver homeowners face higher tax bills today as temporary discounts are lifted and full property values are taxed; Elbert County assessor Susan Murphy said school tax rates are rising most, though a new discount next year may reduce increases (last year’s discount lowered taxable amounts by up to $55,000).
