- ➤ The new play Godspeed riffs on Black cowboy culture and follows a formerly enslaved woman who seeks vengeance with one bullet in 1865 Texas — it runs through Feb. 22 at the Denver Center’s Kilstrom Theatre during Black History Month. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ The Guiding Mountain Dragon and Lion Dance Association in Broomfield practices for Lunar New Year performances, training several days a week with expert choreography and expensive lion heads. The non-profit welcomes a mixed team (nearly 50% female) and offers free training for local youth from low-income households. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ Denver students are designing and modeling their own looks for the 16th annual Colorado Beautillion-Cotillion Fashion Show and Fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 22 at Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy. The nonprofit partnership with Denver Public Schools will feature cultural, military and fashion segments—boosting confidence and teaching new skills. Denver7
