  • The Colorado Trail, a 500-mile route from Denver to Durango, has hosted unique thru-hike completions, including skiing and unicycle riding, thanks to ongoing volunteer work.   • Small business owners contend with rising fuel and material costs as gas prices jump about a dollar over the past month—owners like Dena Townsend of Gardens in Bloom Landscaping are cutting travel and switching to hybrids to manage expenses. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Saturday at Meadowbrook Village Park, firefighters & volunteer teams removed dead vegetation and fallen trees to reduce wildfire fuel and protect nearby homes amid red flag conditions. The effort was a partnership between Arvada Fire, Jeffco Open Space, and Team Rubicon that improved neighborhood safety.  Denver7

  • Colorado woman Rhonda DeSantis (licensed psychedelic facilitator) founded Psylutions in the Vail Valley after experiencing psilocybin’s healing effects, and the startup now grows and processes psychedelic mushrooms for licensed healing centers.
