  • Denver homeowners face ongoing drought restrictions as they adopt water-smart gardening practices. Local resident Heather Grady plans to switch to deep watering three days a week along with rainwater capture to conserve water and keep soil healthy.  Colorado Public Radio
  • Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking residents to help track river otters by submitting sightings via iNaturalist as a new project maps the otter comeback along local waterways. Public input over the next year will guide conservation efforts.  Colorado Public Radio

  • Dr. Eric Chess of the University of Denver leads the Older Adult Financial Justice Coalition to warn residents about rising financial scams — costing seniors billions and affecting all — while the coalition supports the ASSET Act to help institutions pause suspicious transactions and offer language-friendly resources.  Colorado Public Radio

  • Hockey bars in the metro are preparing for the Colorado Avalanche opening Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Ball Arena (venues are setting up extra seating and adjusting staff for a busy night).  Denver7
