BUSINESS NEWS

  • Drivers Cooperative is a ride-share app owned by its drivers that now includes roughly 1,200 local drivers after its launch at Denver International Airport in September 2024. It offers on-demand and scheduled rides as an alternative to Uber and Lyft.  Colorado Public Radio

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Polis signed a law on Thursday that clears the way for plug-in solar kits (including renters) to reduce electricity bills; manufacturers are still developing UL-certified designs. The law takes effect at the start of 2027 as utility costs continue to rise.  Colorado Public Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new study found federal public lands agencies lost 5,800 workers last year, with Colorado’s workforce dropping 26% (about one-third were reassigned to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum’s office) across eight Mountain West states.  Colorado Public Radio
