- ➤ Aurora police said a man was shot outside his home in northwest Aurora early Saturday and treated for a serious gunshot wound at a local hospital—he said he knew his shooter but police have not yet identified the suspect. Sentinel Colorado
- ➤ Denver police are investigating a shooting near McGregor Square on 19th + Wazee streets early Saturday morning that left one person hospitalized with injuries of unknown extent and no arrests reported. Denver7
- ➤ One person was arrested after a roadside stabbing in Broomfield that left one person wounded Saturday afternoon near the intersection of U.S. 287 and Midway Boulevard—police said drivers should expect road closures in the area. Denver7
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wild Bear Nature Center is moving from its downtown Nederland location to a new net-positive building on a hill—surrounded by trails and trees—that will open in fall. Construction is underway as the center raises funds to support its mission of connecting everyone with nature. Denver7
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Seven-year-old Bellamy, who has battled leukemia since age five, finished her 99th hike and will complete her 100th hike today along Mount Sanitas, marking her final oral chemo dose and a Mother's Day celebration with her mother Sarah Bailey. Her family will donate 100 park passes to support families facing childhood cancer. Denver7

- ➤ Developers bought two towers on 17th Street in downtown Denver for $3.2 million and plan to convert them into 700 residential units with retail space on the lower floors—an adaptive reuse project aimed at addressing housing shortages and revitalizing the downtown area. Colorado Public Radio
