ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • US 285 in Jefferson County was shut down Saturday morning after a three-vehicle crash involving two passenger vehicles and a delivery truck that killed one person and injured two others—authorities are still investigating the cause and traffic was diverted to a frontage road.  Denver7

CRIME NEWS

  • Police in Lakewood are investigating a suspicious death after a body in advanced stages of decomposition was found in an alley on the 9600 block of W. Colfax Avenue at 5 p.m. Friday & the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy on Sunday to determine the cause of death.  Denver7

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Emergency Management Coordinator Jared Parker has collected field samples and analyzed weather data across Arapahoe County for the past seven months to improve wildfire predictions. The county will use the new analysis to guide future decisions, including a potential fireworks ban—experts expect the approach to help manage fire risks as summer unfolds.  Denver7
