Good morning, Denver. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 9th of June.

COMMUNITY NEWS

The new tires eased Tim's daily cleanup work — a small relief as the couple begins repairs and sorts through losses.  Denver7

ACCIDENTS NEWS

CULTURE NEWS

  • Rick Crandall, the founder of the Colorado Freedom Memorial, plans to build a new Visitor and Education Center in Memorial Park after honoring veterans during last month’s 80th anniversary of World War II; the center will include a classroom for students, exhibit space, and a meeting room for veterans. EDUCATION NEWS

  • CU Denver and DIA launched the world's first Executive MBA in Aviation to prepare mid-career professionals to run airport systems smoothly, with in-person classes at DIA and online lessons to fill a leadership gap. HEALTH NEWS

  • Colorado health officials noted a rise in measles cases with 12 confirmed as of June 6 and observed that most cases have occurred in unvaccinated people while travelers have brought additional risk. REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Colorado Housing Connects helps Denver tenants facing high rents and many eviction filings with free tenant-landlord mediation, legal aid, and utility help—teaching them their rights. The group said a rent demand notice gives tenants 10 days before further eviction steps start.  Denver7
