GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On June 9, Aurora police and fire leaders rolled out a 25-year plan with a total cost of $1.5 billion to upgrade and build new public safety facilities across the city. • Colorado lawmakers improved rental protections this year—requiring landlords to list all fees upfront starting Jan 1—and gave local officials the power to take over neglected properties to enforce habitability laws. • More than 40 Colorado lawmakers requested that their personal details be removed from TRACER after a shooting in Minnesota killed a state lawmaker and her husband.
