- ➤ On Monday at 2:15 p.m., an 11-year-old fell six stories from a window at the Tamarac Family Shelter in Denver and was taken to Children’s Hospital Colorado—city staff said they are installing permanent bolts to secure all windows and prevent tampering in the future. Denver7

- ➤ Community leaders, religious groups and state legislators held a protest outside the Aurora GEO ICE Detention Facility on July 7—an event lasting about five hours with music, picketing and calls for the center's closure. - ➤ Larimer County residents from Save The Poudre — who oppose the Thornton pipeline project — said Monday night they will appeal a judge's ruling that dismissed their lawsuit. County commissioners approved the final piece — which will allow the project to deliver Poudre River water to Thornton in coming years. Denver7
