ENVIRONMENT NEWS

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Jared Polis said health insurance costs will rise 28 percent next year because a federal law cut tax credits, and he said state teams are ready to fight wildfires while studying tariffs and planning early legislative action if needed—he also said the state will help federal probes to protect children from exploitation.  Colorado Public Radio
  • Aurora courts are reviewing civil and criminal cases against CBZ Management for mismanaging apartment properties that led to building closures and safety issues—trial dates were postponed to allow extra witness testimony amid claims of antisemitic remarks.  Sentinel Colorado

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fans are calling for an attendance boycott to pressure Rockies owner Dick Monfort to change the team’s course amid mounting losses and the risk of a record 100-loss season—critics note that while Coors Field still draws large crowds, the club’s heavy reliance on ticket and concession sales may leave it vulnerable if fans do stay home. Experts remain doubtful that reduced attendance will force meaningful changes given the owner’s deep local ties and long-term investments in the ballpark.  Colorado Public Radio
