  • Vail Resorts is offering a half-price discount on lift tickets to friends of Epic Pass holders using its new benefit — Epic Friend Tickets — this winter. The deal gives six to 10 discounted tickets across 37 resorts as the company works to boost sales and draw more guests.  Colorado Public Radio

CRIME NEWS

  • A Colorado grand jury indicted seven people on 51 counts for allegedly running a complex auto theft ring in Mesa and Garfield counties & parts of Utah from October 2021 to May 2024 that stole 44 vehicles worth over $870,000 using VIN swapping and fake license plates.  Denver7

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lisa Johnson, a 60-year-old who earned an associate degree through the Colorado Re-Engaged program, registered at the University of Denver on Wednesday to pursue her goal of a bachelor's degree amid concerns about tuition and health challenges. State data shows that only about 3% of more than 1,500 former students have re-enrolled to finish a four-year program while Finish What You Started has brought nearly 4,700 adults back to college, highlighting a gap in support for adult learners.  Sentinel Colorado

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Aurora City Council voted Monday to ban the sale of nitrous oxide and other psychoactive products at select stores to help protect kids from dangerous items, and the new rule will take effect in 30 days—aligning local laws with state limits.  Denver7
  • RTD is launching First Mile Free to offer free Lime and Bird e-bike and scooter rides up to one mile to the University of Denver and Decatur-Federal stations starting in 2026 and 2027. The program, funded by a grant and matching funds, automatically gives riders about $5 off their trip—addressing the last mile challenge.  Colorado Public Radio
