Good morning, Denver.
🏘️ Community

Its partnerships with local schools and the Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day boost year-round funding for these events.
🎓 Education
JeffCo School District said that selling its 21 closed schools would only cover a little more than half a year’s maintenance costs, fueling concerns ahead of two tax measures on the November ballot.
Colorado educators and public school employees can now receive down payment help through the Schools to Home program that launched on July 1; the program is expected to assist about 125 first-time home purchases by offering up to 25% of the first mortgage loan while requiring a homebuyer class and meeting credit and income guidelines.
🌲 Environment
A mountain lion was spotted lounging in a tree that closed Eaton Street between 112th and 113th Avenues in Westminster Tuesday morning — residents were advised to avoid the area as Westminster Police and CPW handled the situation.
🏛️ Government
Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office warns visitors at Guanella Pass this fall that illegal parking may lead to an $87.50 fine to keep emergency routes clear; drivers should use designated parking areas to avoid penalties during busy leaf-peeping days.
🏥 Health
Colorado Blood Cancer Awareness Month has CU Anschutz School of Medicine doctor Michael Tees and HCA HealthOne nurse Destiny Humphrey using their platforms (Be the Match, Be the Lifeline) to educate residents on blood donations and stem cell transplants.
They urge donors to help address shortages for patient care.
