🎭 Culture
Lakewood’s Cider Days festival celebrates the city’s agricultural past and marks its 50th anniversary.
The event will run Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4 at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park — drawing over 10,000 visitors with cider pressing, mule wagon rides and heritage tours.
🏛️ Government
After years of construction, the first part of the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit is open and RTD buses now use a center lane between Broadway and Colorado.
The lanes offer near-level boarding, cameras, lighting and transit signal priority + extension toward I-225 will finish by early 2028.
