- ➤ Local 303 is featuring new music by Colorado artists such as Cheap Perfume, Patrick Dethlefs and Packaging — a mix of punk, folk and pop — and invites fans to attend a free 21+ Halloween-themed meetup at Skylark Lounge on Oct. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event includes a costume contest with prizes. - ➤ On September 25th at Jefferson County Fairgrounds, about 2,000 girls learned about construction work as 70 exhibitors demonstrated tasks like mixing concrete and operating excavators—an effort to boost the workforce amid a local shortage. - ➤ Colorado schools are using a near-peer program that pairs 18- to 24-year-olds with students facing mental health challenges to help them stay in school. - ➤ University of Colorado Boulder chancellor Justin Schwartz & athletic director Rick George condemned a hateful chant targeting Mormons at the BYU football game on Sunday.
