EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Westminster Public Schools launched a $1M literacy effort by adding 24 paraprofessionals to kindergarten classrooms to help improve early reading skills after state tests showed only 23% of students reading at grade level. - ➤ Denver began work on a big rebuild of Washington Street in Globeville last Friday— the project will fix the road from E.47th to E.52nd with new sidewalks and safer crossings to help everyone get around better. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Demolition crews are tearing down the old Denver7 building at 123 Speer Blvd using conventional methods rather than implosion and expect the building to be completely removed in about four weeks. The site will then be cleared for a transformative mixed-use development called Society Denver, which is scheduled to be completed in 2027. Denver7
