🎓 Education
Mi Casa Resource Center has launched a free bilingual HVAC training program today to help Denver job seekers gain new skills; participants can earn up to $1,350 and must enroll by Dec.
11 (the course is funded by Power Ahead Colorado).
The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board approved a plan to close five elementary schools and one middle school for the 2027-28 school year due to declining enrollment, affecting 1,586 students.
Families can apply for school choice from Nov. 1-Dec. 15, 2026.

Colorado’s Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) extended the comment deadline for Aurora Water’s Wild Horse Reservoir permit to Nov.
19, giving water conservation groups time to review the dredge and fill application that proposes using Homestake Creek water from Eagle County for the reservoir in Park County.
Denver City Council approved a one-year moratorium on new data center applications near Elyria Park in response to community concerns, with Mayor Mike Johnston saying the delay will allow time to develop new rules for the controversial CoreSite center (one of nearly 500 such pauses nationwide).
