ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Daylight Saving Time ended today and a study finds that deer collisions increased by 16 percent in the week after the clock change. Colorado drivers are urged to slow down on dark roads as deer move to lower elevations for winter.  Colorado Public Radio

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Saturday, a permanent marker was dedicated at FlyteCo Tower to honor the 44 victims of the United Flight 629 bombing—family members placed a red rose on the bench and plans for a new Weld County memorial will soon be announced.  Denver7

HEALTH NEWS

  • After a car crash near her Denver home in February, physician Lauren Hughes needed surgery for a broken ankle and an overnight hospital stay that her insurer Anthem partly denied—raising her bill to over $60K. By late September, Platte Valley Hospital refiled the claim as outpatient care so that Hughes only owed a $250 copayment.  Colorado Public Radio
