- ➤ Colorado’s draft rules to protect streams and wetlands will be debated at a public hearing Dec. 8 in Denver as environmental groups and industry leaders dispute a definition of farm-based wetlands (a change that may expand oversight and increase permit requirements for businesses). - ➤ Family, friends, and colleagues gathered on the west steps of the Capitol on Friday, Dec. 5 to honor the late State Senator Faith Winter, who died on Nov. 26 in a fatal I-25 crash. She left behind two children and a legacy of public service. Denver7

- ➤ Colorado health leaders (including Gov. Jared Polis) are pushing back against a federal panel's new recommendation that limits hepatitis B vaccination for newborns, saying all infants should still get the shot at birth and that the state will use emergency rulemaking and outreach to clarify its guidance.
