TIG Welding – Half Day – Steel

About this event

This course is designed for individuals who want an introduction to welding in a shorter program. Over the span of three hours, students work directly with a skilled instructor using state-of-the-art equipment. The class is ideal for those new to welding or for experienced welders who want to refresh and refine their skills.

Key features include:

• TIG machine setup

• TIG welding techniques including hand-feeding wire

• Minimal lecture, with most of the time spent in the welding lab

• Approximately two hours of hands-on “arc-on” experience

This class is three hours in duration and is offered in a Morning Session (8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.) or an Afternoon Session (12:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.).

What to Bring (Students are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

• Safety glasses

• Protective welding jacket

• Welding gloves

• Welding Helmet

Notes:

• If a student doesn’t have the PPE described above, these items will be provided for use during class.

• Leather closed-toed shoes or equivalent are required in the welding lab.

• Absolutely no shorts or open-toed shoes are allowed in the welding lab.
